East-west, the city’s main corridors include Port St. Lucie Boulevard (State Road 716 on its eastern end), Gatlin Boulevard, Crosstown Parkway, paid for in part by a voter-approved bond that still appears on city tax bills, Prima Vista Boulevard and Becker Road. U.S. 1 carries traffic along the east side toward Fort Pierce and Stuart.

Jobs Express Terminal and the express bus to West Palm Beach
The city’s Jobs Express Terminal, 2198 SW Gatlin Blvd., just east of the I-95 and Gatlin Boulevard interchange, opened in 2021. It has 162 free parking spaces for carpools, vanpools and transit riders, electric vehicle chargers, a stop for ART Route 5 and stops for regional buses including Greyhound and FlixBus. - U.S. 1 is getting 7-foot bicycle lanes in FDOT’s current repaving project.

- The widened SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard south of Gatlin gets 8- to 10-foot sidewalks.
Parking
Port St. Lucie has no historic downtown, as the city itself notes, so there is no downtown parking deck or meter district to learn. The city’s riverfront destination uses free lots. For The Port District and its events, the city sends drivers to Veterans Park at Rivergate, 2100 SE Veterans Memorial Parkway, and Tom Hooper Park, 2300 SE Rivergate Parkway, and says there is no event parking at the nearby business plazas.
At home, the city’s code changes discussed at an Oct. 1 open house say vehicles may no longer be stored on vacant lots, RVs and utility trailers must be kept free of mold and mildew, utility trailers are limited to 20 feet, and box trucks are now prohibited under the commercial vehicle rules, with an exception for dually trucks with standard beds. Questions: Code Compliance through 1PSL, 772-871-1775.
