How admission works

Renaissance Charter School of St. Lucie takes applications online through Charter Schools USA’s enrollment system, linked from the school’s website. For 2026-27, every application filed during open enrollment had an equal chance, and if a grade had more applicants than seats, a random computer lottery decided who was offered a seat, with sibling preference, according to the school’s enrollment page. The school says it keeps taking applications after open enrollment ends, through the last day of the school year.

Enrollment and teachers

  • Federal count: 1,415 students in the 2023-24 school year, with 79 full-time-equivalent teachers, according to the NCES school directory. That works out to about 18 students per teacher.
