St. Lucie Public Schools’ spring break is Monday, March 22, through Friday, March 26, 2027, per the district’s 2026-27 calendar. Easter follows that Sunday, March 28. The big spring draw in Port St. Lucie is New York Mets spring training at Clover Park, which runs Feb. 19 to March 20 for home games in 2027, so it ends the weekend before the school break.

The Mets’ 2027 spring schedule has 15 home games at Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive:

Camps and child care

  • Kids Day Out Camp (city): a full day of STEM activities, games and crafts for ages 5 to 11 while school is out, 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. In 2026 it ran on the spring break days March 16-20 and 23 at $14.35 a day, per the city’s page. Lunch and snacks are not provided, and new participants need a birth certificate. The 2027 dates were not posted on Oct. 10; watch the page for the March 22-26 week.

Last year’s spring events (2027 dates not posted): the city’s Port St. Lucie Irish Festival ran 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center with a parade, pipes and drums, Irish dance and live music, per the city’s spring events guide.

Spring break is not a city holiday. City Hall, the Community Center and the city’s parks keep their normal hours, and trash pickup runs on its usual days; see our trash and recycling page.
