The Navy SEAL Muster in Fort Pierce, Nov. 6-7
The week before, the National Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, about 10 miles north, holds its 41st annual Muster. The museum’s Muster page lists:
- Friday, Nov. 6: 5K packet pickup 4 to 7 p.m., and a membership dinner at 6 p.m. that is open to the public. Dinner tickets are $30 for nonmembers and limited; the museum asks people to buy them online before Oct. 30.
- Saturday, Nov. 7: the 22nd annual Muster 5K Beach Challenge at 8 a.m., then activities from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with discounted museum admission. This year the museum replaces its single tactical demonstration with a day of speakers, fitness challenges and veteran-owned businesses.
Practical points from the museum: its parking lot is closed Saturday, so park in the field about half a mile south and take the free shuttle. Bleacher seating is limited, so bring a folding chair. Because military working dogs are on site, only service animals are allowed.
What this means for you
